Website Baker

Dragon's Mark uses a Content Management System (CMS) called Website Baker (WB) for all Copper hosting packages. It is also installed upon request for Silver and Gold hosting. A CMS allows a site to be published using a template (or multiple templates) and all content is managed via a simple web-interface.

This means you do not need to know HTML, PHP, or even what those mean, in order to build your website. However, if you do know some HTML and such, you can further customize the templates to suit your specific needs.

WB will be set up with the default DM Members template (used here on the members.dragonsmark.com site), but has a few other templates also available immediately. Additionally there are 100 templates designed specifically for WB, available for download from their website. (see the Support section for more information).

WB pages are built using 'modules', which are put into page sections. Module perform a variety of functions from presenting text/images blocks, to event calendars, to listing bookmarks, to guestbooks, and even image galleries. The modules that come with all Dragon's Mark installed sites include: Bookmark, Calendar, Form, Guestbook, News and WYSISYG. Additional modules can be downloaded from the WB website.

Website Baker is released under the GNU General Public license (more commonly known as the GNU GPL), a GNU-approved Open Source license which many programs around the world now use. This license gives the community great freedom with the use of Website Baker.
